First House of Delegates Mid-Term Virtual Meeting:
Motivating & Worthwhile
At our last two HoD meetings, the HoDs stressed interest in meeting annually between each International Symposium Therefore, the IFDH Board held the organization’s first 3-hour, virtual meeting on Saturday, September 9th, 2023, with representatives from 23 countries. Some were unable to attend due to time zone issues. The overall response was that it was motivating and a worthwhile venture. We feel this will be a regular event in the future.
IFDH Global Oral Health Summit an Overwhelming Success!
The virtual 2023 IFDH Global Oral Health Summit, held on November 4th, brought together influential worldwide leaders and stakeholders for 3.5 hours, to discuss how Dental Hygienists can contribute to reduce the burden of oral health diseases and its economic global impact. Over 600 registrants provided overwhelming, positive response to the breadth and depth of topics as presented by 9 speakers.
International Symposium on Dental Hygiene 2024:

ISDH 2024 will take place at COEX, Seoul, South Korea for a span of three days from July 11-13, 2024. This year’s symposium theme is “Dental Hygienist, the Center of Oral Health.” It will encompass four sub-themes represented by the acronym CORE: Collaboration, Optimization, Reimagination, and Equality.

What is Korean food?
Hansik refers to traditional Korean food, centered on rice, served alongside a bowl of soup and a variety of side dishes. Most dishes use meat and vegetables as the main ingredients, boiled or steamed in brine or water rather than fried in oil, making hansik very healthy. Hansik’s most outstanding feature is the fermented foods. The most well-known are kimchi (fermented cabbage).
